2. What information do we collect?
- Account Info: When you sign up, we collect your email address, name, date of birth, gender, university/college, course, and year.
- Profile Info: The fun stuff you add, like your photos, bio, hobbies, and what you are looking for.
- App Activity: We keep track of your swipes, matches, and the messages you send so the app actually works.
- Device Info: We collect your device's push notification token so we can let you know when someone matches with you or sends a Direct Message.
3. How do we use your information?
- To create your account and show your profile to other students on campus.
- To operate premium features like "See Who Likes You" and "Campus Boost".
- To keep the app safe. We use client-side AI face detection to ensure real photos are being used.
- To provide features like "Ghost Mode," which temporarily hides your profile from the Discover feed.
4. Who do we share your data with?
- Other Users: Your profile (photos, name, course, bio) is visible to other JUPU Dating users. Your private chats are strictly between you and your match.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to run the app. Google (Firebase) securely stores your data, Cloudinary optimizes your photos, and Revenuecat (if premium feature implemented) securely handles premium payments. Your personal data is never sold to anyone.
5. How do we protect your data?
Your messages and account details are stored securely on Google's industry-standard Firebase servers. However, remember that no app is 100% hacker-proof, so please be mindful of the sensitive personal information you share in your private chats.
6. Your Rights & Deleting Your Data
You own your data. You have the right to access, correct, or erase your data. You also have the right to nominate a representative to manage your data on your behalf. You can edit your profile at any time.
You can request a copy of your data by emailing us at support@jupudating.com with your email id linked with the app. If you want to leave, you can use the "Delete Account" button in the app settings. This will permanently erase all your data from our production database within 90 days, as per the Indian law.

We keep your data only as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is erased from our production database within 90 days, as per Indian law.
